Ndegwe Michael Emmanuel

Michael heads the Litigation Department. The department supports several local and international clients in varied sectors including employment, immigration, compliance, structuring and taxation. Michael believes in providing practical legal approaches to litigation and solving client problems.

Prior to setting up DIT Advocates, Michael worked at Luzige, Lubega, Kavuma and Co. Advocates since August 2009, where he gained expertise supporting both private and corporate entities.

Michael’s areas of practice have been; Commercial and corporate practice, Land Transactions, General Litigation, Immigration, Family Law Practice, Employment Law and Taxation.

Michael is an enrolled Advocate of the High Court of Uganda and all subordinate Courts.

  • Since 2021, advising leading organizations in Radio and Tv broadcasting providing a whole range of regulatory, compliance and tax requirements as Company secretary and lead legal advisor.
  • Since 2020, acting for deposit taking financial institutions and providing a full range of services including general advisory, secretarial, tax and regulatory compliance. Michael’s strategic advisory has positively grown the entities under his care to leading providers of inclusive finance and capital.
  • Acting for Small and medium enterprises as well as individual business owners in Uganda in areas of business registrations, tax compliance, litigation, family matters, immigration, employment/labour and general advisory.
